Fashion Against Violence - Breaking the Barriers - March in Flint MI May 31, 2012 4:00pm

So...I had the opportunity to interview a very powerful women of fashion in Flint, MI, Kala Wilburn. She is the owner of a line of custom handmade handbags and apparel, Fannie Lucille - I'm a huge fan!

Last year, October 31, 2011, Kala lost her brother to an act of violence. This inspired her to form a movement, Fashion Against Violence. This week, Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 4:00 pm, Fashion Against Violence, WOW Outreach and Community Action will partner with other businesses and organizations in the Flint Community and march together in memory of lost loved ones in an event called Breaking the Barriers. The march will being at Flint City Hall and end at Atwood Stadium where the Urban Peace Rally  will be held immediately following the march at 6:00pm. Isn't this just so amazing?! Kala, I love what you are doing for your cause, for the city, for everyone! Keep up the excellent work.
